Lyle and Colleen Wick are the owners
and trainers of Hardwood Creek Farm. Their facility is a
full-service training, showing and lesson operation which
specializes in the Morgan and American Saddlebred breeds.
The Wicks both earned B.S. degrees from
the University of Minnesota where Lyle was head of Equine Science at
the U of M, Crookston for ten years. Meanwhile Colleen taught
continuing education in addition to giving riding lessons. Together
the Wicks have trained horses professionally since 1983.
Hardwood Creek is nestled on 30 acres
of lush pasture. The facility includes a heated barn, spacious tack
room and plenty of storage. Customers and visitors enjoy the
observation areas for the indoor arena.
Hardwood Creek maintains an impressive
lesson program and clients who have successfully shown with numerous
wins at the local, national and world levels.
Our goal is to provide a comfortable, ethical, family-oriented
atmosphere where safety and proper training of both horse and rider
are emphasized.
